Beautiful Bromeliads Blooming in Brandon, my yard that is.
Yes Autumn is beautiful in Florida too!! Although, in January there will be many hours, of raking leaves!!!!!!!!!! Want to help?!
Spring of 2008...Peace Lillies bloom everywhere
I have left the gate open come in to the backyard. The dogs won't bite. Beware of ducks, they attack!!! Close the gate, quick, don't let the ducks in.
Hi Sophie, we have company, let's show them our yard.
Below are some of the plants in my yard. Bromeliads, Anthuriums, Chinese Lanterns, Gingers, Begonias, Plumbago, Orange blossoms, Walking Irises, Peace Lilies, some Roses and the Passion flower, just to name a few.
My mom gave me this rose bush. She even planted it herself. I think her favorite color is yellow.
There is a view of a lake, way back there...Many birds are seen in this area, such as the Red Tailed Hawks, Osprey, Pileated Woodpeckers, Downy Woodpecker and the Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Sandhill Cranes, Mallard ducks, even those that attack, Cow Birds, Storks, Egrets, the Great Blue Herons and your regular, Bluejays, Titmice, Carolina Wrens, and my favorite the Cardinal. A peacock knocked on my front door the other day. So unreal. I had never seen them or heard them in this area before. My last house a few miles north of here, the Peacocks lived and roamed the area. But here? So I say they found me and came for a visit. I gave them some treats after miles of travel, they deserved a treat!!!! I took pics, I will have to post one or two.
